I found a nice rar part yesterday on an attic.....
I tooks me a while to get it out what it is exactly for and experts in another german forum had the solution / explanation and found pictures in books.

The screw like item is a support for optics. Used to set binoculars around on logs or other wood frames. I got one for my S.F. 14 Z and it has a place in the transport box. This one seems to be a bit more elaborated, as the regular one only has 1 elbow. I don't know what that extension is, though.

Hi,
These accessory is not for binoculars but for flare guns.
It's called 'Einspannvorrichtung' and the purpose is to fix a flare gun on a fixed area. It's said it was the case when setting up artillery fire.

Thats a nice one for the Flare gun . Is it marked Schwalen or something like that .?
