Help needed on Luger Holster and Magazine

    Hi All,
Recently purchased holster with mag. Holster is unmarked, could anyone tell me if these holsters were private purchase. The loops on the rear of the holster, two horizontal and one vertical seem unusual? Also would be grateful for any information on the magazine.
    Regards mike c.

              Hi Mike,

That's a new one on me.
I thought it might be a cut down artillery holster, but the 'toe' on those is 'squared-off''.
I have looked through the Luger Holsters book and can't find anything like it.
Sorry i can't be of help, but i'm sure someone here will know.

              Steve.

Are there any markings on the inside? Belt loops look to be Swiss(I think, not possitive, but I know it's not German!)

                  Hi Matt,
Can't see any markings under the vertical loop, horizontal loops are to tight to see beneath. No visible markings anywhere.
                  Regards mike c.

I ment inside the holster on the backing.

It's not Swiss as I previously guessed, it looks more like Portugese.

The magazine is fine. The holster is a reproduction made in Pakistan. Most folks think they started showing up in the 60s or 70s. These Paki holsters are most often found in an LP08 variation that has the same weird strap arrangement on the back. Many are made of goat hide and have a distinctive smell to them. It's a smell that a French friend likened to that of an elephant's a$$hole.

Thanks for the info on the holster. I have run into them before and wondered what they were
