MP40 magazine with second witness hole

I have a number of MP38&40 magazines in which all have a single witness hole at round number 32 but I also have this one magazine which has a second witness hole at round number 25, so my question is, was this done during the war or is it a postwar alteration? The magazine itself is a common 1940 dated made by Haenel afterribbed type A magazine.

I've had quite some mags also, and I don't recall seeing any with two holes. That second one looks "hand" made. I would think it is post war done.

Hello,
I have a copy of 'The Schmeisser Myth' on Collector Grade (Best book on the Mp40)
On Page 281 fig 394 is a picture of a mag with a second inspection hole.
It states 'presumsably added by a waffenmeister in the field'.
To the left of the hole it is stamped 25, like all of them are stamped 32, if that makes sense.

Thank you Jonathan for the quote from the book. I was going to sell it since I thought it was post war rework but now I'll keep it.
