    P-38 Holster with SS Marks

    Hi Guys,

I had a pretty good weekend. I picked this up from the grandson of a US WWII Army vet who served in Europe. The holster has some interesting marks that I was hoping to get some help with... Any help will be appreciated!

    Thanks in advance,
    Matt

A nice "eue 43" P38 holster. The left belt loop has been repaired at some time.

As for the markings tough to tell what they mean? I would assume the number "1873" is the serial number of the pistol, or perhaps a field post number?

Not sure about the rest, but My best guess would be; the "W. Sch."is for the owners name/initials.
The "SS-Uscha" is possibly rank, such as SS-Unterscharfuhrer perhaps?
Not sure what the "P. Hr" is though?
This is only a guess btw.

I have a similar Luger holster that is marked inside with "SS Hauptsturmfuhrer and a name", but I can't make out the name.

Did the Pistol shown come with it? does it match the number marked on this holster?

            Matt

              Might P.Hr. be P.Nr? for Pistole Numer...1873

It certainly could be!? That would make sense.

BTW...Is it the number if the pistol? That would confirm.
