    MG34 Opinions please

Can I get some opinions on this dot 41 Mg34
Ok it is not the best ever, it is not matching numbers, but it looks quite nice anyway. There are no russian capture X's on it, there is a little DK stamp on the side what ever that is.
    Any info much appreciated.

                  DK might stand for Denmark.

I don't really think so. I have seen sets of letters on several MG34s in that area.

This MG34, in general terms is OK. missmatched. Butt might not be original...or, if it is, it might have been reworked. There is a lever missing in the top cover, but can be found easily. How about the bolt? What kind of deactivation?

Yes it is deactivated, but not to the new EU spec, so the action works, cocks and dry fires.
Oh a little lever is missing can you show a picture of what I'm looking for.
I don't know about the butt stock, but in the worst case I do have a spare.

Out of interest what proportion on Mg34's are mismatched?

                      Could the finish be original?

                      Thanks

No chance of that blueing being original, sorry. It matches too well to be original being made of parts. All of it is missmatched, seems. The front (the shroud) has one number; the central part (action block) is re-numbered and matches the bolt, so most possibly both have been renumbered; the butt has two different numbers...so...

The missing lever should be something like these, mostly the one that turns to the left (unless you have a reversible feed tray)

                          Be careful....

                          Dear Sir,

Before spending a lot of money on this you would do well to read the information in the following link.

                          http://eshop.mjlmilitaria.com/Deactivated-Weapons

In 30 days that deactivated firearm becomes a defectively deactivated firearm under UK law, and as such must be further submitted to the proof house to be further deactivated or its sale/transfer/gift or loan after May 1st 2017 means a criminal conviction. This legislation applies to every deactivated firearms deactivated prior to April 8th 2016 in the UK.

But if you want to keep it for yourself go for it.

                          Regards Craig.

In Spain, pre-New Spec (Old Spec) deactivated weapons can be transfered or sold to someone who has a Collector's License. If the buyer doesn't have or doesn't obtain a Collector's License, the weapon should be re-deactivated according to New Specs and can be transfered or sold with a new Deactivation Certificate. If some one posseses an Old Spec deactivated weapon he can keep it as is. I imagine this is similar in UK now.

Sadly Carlos this is not true, this is UK Legislation not EU legislation.
