Side plate has been replaced. That's what I thought. So it's not a 100% matching pistol. check the inside of the grips as well for numbers.
The bluing looks to be a re-blue to me, or dip. Doesn't look original IMO.
The holster is a 1939 WaA170 by Ehrhardt und Kirsten. Can you take photos of the inside, and also a complete photo of the back side, and font side. I did notice on your first photo that the closure strap is damaged. Need to see the lift strap, belt loops, and stitching to see if there is any other damage.
Also, photos of the magazine. Is there a 2nd magazine with it?

Yes unfortunately it's certainly been refinished. You see the Gesichert mark should be colored white, since the writing looks to be the same color as the rest of the pistol that's a dead give away.
Too bad about the side plate.. All in all still a nice pistol I'm sure someone would love to buy it from you. Just won't bring what a matching original finished gun would bring (although if you can get proof it's captured from Vietnam that could increase value to certain collectors) .

William, Russian dip is a term used to describe a procedure the Russians used to preserve captured weapons confiscated after WWII for long term storage. It is a black dip bluing. And can sometimes be removed to show the original finish.
I'm sure some of these captured weapons made it to the North Vietnamese.
But after viewing more of your photos I'm thinking Parkerizing? Maybe to help the finish in a tropical environment?
Without documentation, who knows. all speculation at this point.

Well the good news is the holster looks good and complete. There is some loose stitching on the top flap, but that's not uncommon. The belt loops look good, and lift strap is intact. Only issue is that tear on the closure strap. Not a huge deal, but it does lower value. I'd say around $250 on the holster alone.
I agree with Waffenampt44. If you have proof that it's a Vietnam bringback, that certainly will add to the "history" of this piece. Which in turn, could add some value.

Thanks to all that responded. Was hoping that it would have a bit more value than it does. Guess I could always break it up and sell the parts individually or just take it to the next gun buy back and get a Walmart gift card.
