    High Power WaA613

    Hi.

I bought this one 12-15 years ago from a retired college and left it in a box in the basement and forgot all about it, until a fellow collector asked if I had a HP for sale.

I brought it back to light and realized it had a German WaA613 proof marking on the trigger guard. The previous owner seams to have put on some new sights, but I have found the rear sight for sale on eBay. The barrel is super clean and besides the sights it looks to be in good condition.

What do you think a fair price would be, including one extra mag?

I can not see the other side of the slide but it appears to be an early made right after the Germans took over. If that is the case you should have the adjustable rear sight. Good luck on that , not an easy one to find. Frank v.

I'm not an expert on HPs or anything else, but I thought that German occupation of the FN plant started around the 25-30 thousand range? There may have been some earlier guns there that we accepted, but those have to have been very few. I also thought that all of the slide sight HPs had a milled "bump" or base on the slide top. If so, this one has been milled off and I assume it was done well after the war when those sights were mounted....they appear to be from the 60s-80s type sights.

If the gun as been altered in any way to accommodate those sights, it will have no collector value IMO and would be a nice $600-$800 shooter to the right buyer.

        Thank you.

There are absolutely no traces of any removed slide sight mounts on the slid top so I´m pretty sure this gun never had those sights mounted. To me it also looks like the gun still got the original brownish bluing, so if some parts have been machined off, I´m sure it would have shown.

I only payed $250,- for the gun, so I guess there might be a profit despite the sights have been replaced.

        Thanks
