GSG StG 44 Pak 9mm

I've got the opportunity to purchase a GSG StG44 blank firer (9mm PAK) here in the UK. With it being front venting, does anyone know the legal aspect of owning such a imitation firearm?
I've asked my local firearms officer but they weren't the greatest of help!
