Nice and not so commonly found 1935 Mauser made P08 with original finish.
Pitty it has not been properly stored and the finish is a little bit off

Nice original Parabellum, moreover the last two digits 35 are the same of the baujahr ! the wear gives character at the piece, regards .

While wear is perfectly normal, rust and pitting from neglect doesn't necessarily add character.

S/42 on a magazine base would indicate a Mauser replacement magazine. The original magazine would have had the serial number, letter suffix, and acceptance mark. If the spare magazine, it would have also had a + .

Nice p08. And scarce to find a p08 from 1935.
                      It looks also good preserved.
Value for this early one I would'say 1500 till 2000€ if it's in working condition

IMO the rust as shown looks worse that it actually is. Someone who really knows what they are doing could greatly improve the appearance of that original and at the same prevent further advancement of the rust. The straw is very nice as is the % and depth of the original blue. If that 08 was a K98k in the same condition (more so for a 1935 K98k) it would be described as near mint in the same condition.
