    Happy Groundhog Day!

    Happy Groundhog Day!
I wonder what the FedEx man will bring me today?
    Six more weeks of winter?
With temps in the 60's, I don't mind.
Let's wait and see what he delivers!!

The FedEx man done come and gone...but he left something for me!!

A Japanese Type 14 Nambu, chambered in 8mm Nambu, which doesn't exist anymore. A P38, manufactured in early 1944 and a 1911A1, made by Remington-Rand, under the Colt contract, manufactured in late '44. A little rust/corrosion on the left side of the .45 by the bore. Still the best damned gun the US ever had. Why they ever went to that pussy 9mm Beretta is beyond me. Must have been kickbacks and politics.

Actually the 8mm Nambu ammo is still available. Not real cheap, but modern ammo guys make batches from time to time. There is some on Gunbroker right now.

The Type 14 was made at the Toriimatsu arsenal. Looks in fairly good shape. Does the magazine match?

                  Thanks,
                  Pat

No, not the same number but...
I'll take a picture. Right period, I think.

Oh. Not an import mark to be seen between the three of them!

                    Here we go!!

                        Tim,

Although not the same 3 digits, it is a magazine from the same arsenal as it has the ri inspector mark.

                        Thanks,
