Just got back from the Louisville show tonight. Boy this was probably the best show I've been to in the last 5 years!

Unfortunately Ronnie, I can't post up a "virtual tour" for you. They would not allow any cameras in the gun show, and threatened to prosicute anyone caught with a camera or video recorder!

Anyways, I can tell you what was all there..... Lots of great suff! Some really rare stuff too. I only picked up one firearm there though! Can you believe it? I did get plenty of holsters though!

I'll post some pics of my finds tommorow for you guys. Too tired right now! Just got in, and drove 9 hours through a nice snow storm!

It was great meeting all the fellow members there though I was able to meet Seba, Jeff S., Jeff A., Ian, Carl, Gary, Denny, Richard, Daniel, and others whom I'm sure I'll forget all the names, so please fogive me!
Can't wait to see the group phot Jeff took! It was overwelming how many members where there!

      Matt

PS-Denny, I heard you sold that P38! I know who got it though!

I did take a few photos of some of the stuff I snagged at the show though at the hotel. Here is some of the stuff I got the first day.

        Matt

PS- in case you are wondering what these all are in the photo. I'll list them from left to right starting at the top left.
        1. Astra 900, nazi serial range with correct stock.
        2. Mauser broom, "Red 9" w/ nazi "eagle/mu4" re-work proof marking! Only broom to be nazi proof marked. Also Police markings on grip for police unit in Hamburg. Holster is correct and is also marked for the police unit in Hamburg!
        3. P38 hardshell, "gxy" 1941 dated.
        4. P38 Hardshell, "cxb" 42 dated.
        2nd row:
        5. Norwegian .45 M1914 magazine, all blued type.
        6. Luger holster, Kreigsmarine marked, "eagle/M", dated 1939.
        7. Luger holster, "K"-date.
        8. Femaru P37 Luftwaffe drop holster, marked, "eagle/7" dated 1942.
        9. Scope cover for ZF4, K43 sniper
        10. P38 hardshell, "cxw" 1941 dated.

I'll post the rest of the pics up Monday, and I'll even start another thread to show you some details of some of the stuff I got Tuesday, so be sure to check it all out!

Here is the only know photograph of the "Janesville gunslinger" also know at the SOS as "G43 pouch man". He was last seen carying an Astra 300 as shown in this photo.

Actually this is Jeff Ashenfelter. He didn't want his photo taken, so just like Mauser did, I had to "sneak" this one in!

Here is the final pic. A photo of me grinning ear to ear, with all those damn holsters! FYI- I've got a P38 hardshell in my hand, "CXW" 1941 dated. Just in case you were wondering.

                  Matt

PS- also notice the lovely WAC T-shirt that I got from Seba. Just thought I plug that in for you Seba!

Hi Mat, we met at the show also. I wondered why there were no more holsters left at the show on the Saturday you bought them all. That sounds like a great broom handle with the police history you got, looking forward to seeing photos of it.

Last time I talked to Jeff, aka 43 pouch man, at the show, he told me he bought a Japanese T-97 sniper. I saw the one on the table that he had purchased and it was a nice one with a scarce quick detachable sling. Maybe he'll post some photos of it here. Ray

Oops that was a T-2 Japanese paratrooper rifle Jeff bought not the sniper, sorry senior moment. They were both on the same table. He got the paratrooper which had the quick detachable sling. A real nice one. Ray

Wow Matt! That is one impressive pile of leather. The scope covers and the Kriegsmarine luger holster in your first photo look awfully similar to some items that sold off my table.

                          Ray,

Yes, I saw Jeffs' great find. A very nice Jap partrooper carbine with the scarcely seen paratroopers' sling attached! Hopefully he'll post some photos of it as well!?
I'm afraid the two brooms are gone already! So I don't have any more pics of them!

                          James,
I didn't see you at the show did I? I got the KM holster, the scope cover, and the K-date holster all from the same table. Was it you? If so, thank you very much! I didn't know it was you!?

I got the nice AKAH marked P38 hardshell from Tommy Ritter. Got the Norwegian magazine from Christian. Got the Femaru drop holster from Jeff Ashenfelter. I can't remember where I got all the other stuff from. I met so many people this year, that it was all a blur! I even had people asking me for my card! Guess I should get one for next year!

That was my table Matt. I was walking when you bought the three items, so you talked to my buddy.
