    M-1 Carbine Sling Help Please.

    Hello,
Anyone know anything about M-1 Carbine slings????
Basically is this an original one?? these are the only pictures i have so I hope there is enough to go on. There is no visible makers stamp or date on the webbing.

I know there are lots of repros, to me this doesn't look like an obvious copy, but I really don't have a clue

    Any help much appreciated

I do believe the earliest ww2 slings have the metal cap that is just around the edge like the sling you have posted. Vitts

              Thanks for the help,
I did get the sling, it arrived in the post yesterday, to be fair it is nicer condition than I thought it would be and it came with an oil bottle too. The total was $65 (£50) which included the postage, ok maybe not cheap, but not too bad?
It seems to be a medium OD colour and there are no stamps or makings.
here are a couple more pictures.

i had trouble with the oiler bottle rusting inside web sling as it was on the m1 stored in safe, i guess the cotton sling held moisture.

That is a great original sling which typically would go for $100 plus. IMO
