A Real Last Ditch Nambu Type 14

I always laugh when someone sells a perfectly good, all matching 19 date (1944) or 20 date (1945) Type 14 and calls it a "last ditch". Here is a pistol that the serial number puts it in August 1945. It has no date stamp. Most of the parts are unserialized, and those that are are not matching. All of the parts except for the unmarked cocking knob are in the white. What is funny, or scary, is that the bore has been fouled where someone shot it with corrosive ammo and never cleaned it. I shutter to think of shooting this one ! People are always making joking comments about Nambu's (usually ascribed to Type 94's) being suicide guns, maybe this one was.

    Thanks,
    Pat

Always a sign that you may not be on the winning team, but still showing the determination to continue the fight.

Gun has been belt sanded pretty clearly on the sides of the upper and all finish removed on the rest of the metal........
