      Leon,

Two great looking late war Bosigwalde K98s there!

That "44" dated Borsigwalde actually makes sense to have the Obendorf proof markings on it. As 1944 was the last year that K98s were produced at the Borsigwalde plant, and this was one of the last ones made, it most likely was shipped to Obendorf, and completed there.

      Great pieces of history!

      Matt

Interesting the e/135 stamped band on the 43 ar; is it serialed to the rifle? I also found the e/140 FN bolt interesting too, both are very nice rifles for sure but I found the 43 ar far more interesting... how was the tg/fp assembly serialed/proofed?

From my observations it seems that most 43 ar's have serialed bands & tg/fp assemblies but un-proofed (neither e/26 nor any contract part proofs like e/214 or e/135)... which I thought a bit strange off hand.
Bystricia/dou is known for sure for it’s abbreviated practices & early use of stamped parts but I had never assumed Borsigwalde followed suit so early?

Any observations on 43 ar’s in general? Especially the proofing of the bands & tg assembly?

        Very interesting maker mid/late war.
