Value of an STG 44 Parts Kit

Here are the pics. I was told all the numbers match.
It has the booklet with it.
What would be a real value right now?

Given the missing receiver, I'd say 5k. Can possibly get more if on gunbroker.

Could be 6k. I don't know about that booklet, originals I have seen with the guns are tightly rolled from years in the buttstock and usually heavily yellowed and possibly oil soaked.
      Looking for a 30 '06 Chauchat magazine.

It's on GunBroker now. It has a high bid of $1200 with a BUY IT NOW of $4000.
I don't see anyone jumping on it though.
        Now's your chance!!
        Thanx for the opinions though.

Has a serial number stamped on the side of the buttstock, which I suspect was for post war use.....Part numbers likely forced matched....The book also looks like it's a copy.....Bodes

I didn't think of the 'forced match'. Thanx.

I emailed the guy. He has been very responsive so far. He wants to sell it. May get something from him today. I have to go and look at some guns, helmets(?) and daggers though. I will check when I get home. Honest!

High value for these types of kits belongs to kits with the complete set of cut receiver parts. This kit is missing both the magwell and receiver rear sections dramatically reducing the value. Since the guns fire from a closed bolt, they are good candidates for ATF approved conversion to semi-auto, but currently there is no ATF approval for this. Licensed manufacturers can reconstruct a kit with all the receiver sections into a live but highly restricted Post-May sales sample not eligible for possession by an individual.
Post samples run about $6000 right now if the licensee gives up his licenses making the gun eligible to sell to another licensee without a specific, particularly onerous transfer requirement that lowers to sales value, even to a licensee.
I know, a lot of gobbledygook about US MG laws, but these laws have a significant effect on the value of any kit offered in the US.

Kit sold for $2800 on GunBroker. Fair price for a kit with no receiver sections

Also, it's post-war force-matched, mag was not German (1001 coded), manual reproduction....
