New find! *Mauser HSc Police Eagle/L - Date ranges???

Hello,
I have just joined the forum and have received some good general info about the

HSc pistole and am just curious what you guys think of the new pick up.. The serial

number is # 804 027. From what I understand I have the "Second Variation E/L serial

numbers 788,450 - 938,075 without the 3 lines on the slide." The pistol was made

somewhere between 1939 - 1946. From other posts I think it was made early in the

war.

**Info that I am looking for is month and year of manufacture, what police unit

might have used this pistol, what you think of its condition, books that may detail serial

numbers used for HSc police pistols. I bought this pistol from Legacy-collectables.com

for $850. Its labeled as 96%-97% condition. Thanks guys!!! Hopefully Joe gets in on

this..

As far as I know, it is impssible to trace to which unit or Police organization your HSc was issued. I would say that your pistol was made in late 1942.
