    [QUOTE=Ronnie Fry]Bill,
    You have seen the recent post about my first K98- When you say "semi-Kriegs" stock, what do you mean?

    Ronnie, It's refered to a "semi-kriegsmodell" because it doesn't have full Kriegsmodell features....It still retains the bayonet lug and band spring....These would be omitted in the KM configuration.....Nice rifle Bill..... Bodes

      Bill,

      I used to own a SWP45, but it had the full kreigsmodell stock, no bayonet lug or band spring. The stock was extremely rough, as if it was pulled off of the machine and thrown on the gun.

      Best $85 I ever spent.

A really cool rifle this one of yours. As usual, thanks for letting us have a look at some of these that are "out of captivity".

        No stock disc, no rod, bolt is taken down through hole in butt. Nice lat rifle and I have the same one in a phosphate and blue mix with standard sights, will have it in Louisville, These are not an easy find and guys dont know what they are for the most part.

          Semi-Kriegs refers to the fact that it still has a bayonet lug and band spring up front. A full Kriegs would have a plate screwed to the front of the stock and two screws holding the front bands.

          Bill, I think John H. created a monster when he convinced you to buy a camera. Your firearms are superb! Look forward in seeing you in a few days.

            Yet another outstanding item.

            Hi Bill, what range were these sights fixed at? (I have never even seen one before.)

            Cheers, Ade.

                Bill,

                That rifle is a real treat, amazing condition too!

                It would make sense to have the sights set for 100m given the very short period of training available at that point in the war.

                Please keep them coming!!!

                Peter
