Lovely specimen and totally wartime original. I've always loved the simple and pure aesthetics of these little pistols.
500 is a fair price, Simpson Ltd has them in the 700 range though I don't see them actually selling at that price.

Awesome! I just bought a police eagle / L myself and am super stoked to find out more about it. our serial numbers are close-ish in range.

This was a well designed, great double action small pistol and was made after the war for the commercial market.

During the latter part of WW II many were also issued, stamped E/L to the police. Your nice example was issued to the military. The price range mention above is accurate, unless you buy one from a high end dealer who will want the extra bucks?

Based upon it's serial number your example is considered to be variation #4 out of 5 different changes to the war time production of this pistol.
