Vintage AA sight in nice condition. Typical issue sight with the tiny waffenamt on the stem verifying original manufacture. These original sights have become very scarce and expensive. Reproductions of these sights are not particularly ccurate copies, especially the tiny stamp!

It's got a good chance of being original but I see something strange there. Is the rod painted? Con you show some closer pics? I was told in France that French army produced some post war and the only difference was the weight.

Sorry to disagree, but I'm sure you'll find this is a fake. the give-away is the v-shaped support under the ring. On a real one you will not see the two small straight lower edges to the V - it tapers right in to the rod. I used to have one, purchased at Beltring from a well-known French purveyor of many copy weapon artefacts!
