    Are these both Luftwaffe pistols?

    Hi
Can anyone confirm that both these are Luftwaffe pistols?
I have had difficulty deciphering all the information out there on the PP and PPk, I'm sorry to say. I'm hoping I could get some advice on these two pieces.
I believe the PPk is a Luftwaffe piece as the serial number is on the frame and has the matching magazine (sn 299102k).

Now I believed also the PP was Luftwaffe as well, matching on slide/frame and unserialed magazine (sn 231708k). But I was told it was Army by a friend who looked it over. Both pistols are 359 marked.
I would appreciate any input, thanks so much Gentlemen.

The 359 code is Walther. Why do you think they are Luft?

For the ppk something to do with the serial number range and the matching mag. The pp I just don't know

your guns look like Luft contract guns

these early runs of PPs and PPKs that have matching mags and were waffenamted are often found in Luftwaffe drop style holsters or other brown colored Luftwaffe holsters. BROWNING 1922s and FEMARU pistols also come with mostly BROWN luftwaffe drop style holsters. so it is assumed and concluded that these are Luftwaffe guns and the Luftwaffe special ordered them with numbered mags.

Later Waffen marked PPs and PPKs do not have matching mags numbered to the gun.

In general, The Luftwaffe used BROWN holsters, belts, boots, cross straps etc in the late 30's and early 40's and also before. So by 1938 through 1941 you see a scattering of BROWN holsters for lugers and oterh guns and collectors assume that those are Luft guns.

Interestingly Krieghoff LUGERS which went to the luftwaffe, their holders are pretty much BLACK.

PP's were in a certain serial number range on one variation... Your PP seems to be after that range.

After that range the only way to tell is if it has matching serialized magazines.

That link is for the SS/RSHA guns. This is not an SS/RSHA gun. It's a waffenampt (military proofed) PP. He was wondering if it was part of the Luftwaffe contract.

I am trying to learn more myself, thanks for the clarification

So it is because it is within 216,305P -234,705P range?
