MP38 magazine

I recently bought several MP40 magazines and all except one had the usual “M.P.38u.40” marking at the bottom of the left side. So my question is could the one without be a MP38 magazine and if so, how rare are these magazines?

Well, technically if not stamped MP38u40 and produced in 1940 or earlier, you can say it ¡s an MP38 mag. Anyhow, MP38s were produced even later than 1940, I believe, so that's why mags are stamped for both. I would say there might be about a 20% of them out there. Thank you for the links. The fit and finish is much better with these early magazines compared to later ones. With the MP38 magazine and the early slab sided MP40 magazines there is no wobble whereas the later ones are quite loose in the magwell. In terms of reliability which one is the best in your opinion?

No idea on reliability. You should try the mags in each weapon and see which fit better. I don't have any MP30 nor 40 but I've got about 35-40 mags in my collection.

MP 38 Magazine (27 code 1940 issue)

I have in my collection an MP 38 with a makers code of "27" and 1940 year of issue that I am attempting to get the "true" matching magazines for this weapopn. Do you still have this magazine in your possession and would you be interested in selling or trading it?

1938 MP38 magazine

How rare is this magazine? 38 dated 122 makers code for Haenel in excellent condition. I havent managed to get a referance price anywhere online.

Not New York, Connecticut, Massachussetts, New Jersey or California. I may have missed a state. Some of the cities also have their own bans as well.
