Gustloff 98k 1944 with non standard finish.. This 98k is a attempt of Gustloff to come up with a more durable and a faster finish process from bluing to a parkerized finish.. Every piece of the weapon except the butt plate is parkerized.. To include the sight hood, cleaning rod,etc.. I consider this a Experimental finish weapon. I have only seen two others and as, this one they were in mint condition, like they were taken from the factory, at the end of the war and had never been in service..enjoy BILL
