I was under the impression that this pistol stoppe dproduction in 1929. then under occupation with spare parts teh nazi's made them in 1941,1942, and 1945????

If it's the Colt 1914 you mean, the production startet again with new parts during the occupation. It was norwegian factory workers who made them under German supervision

Hello all, this is an old thread but I have the chance to buy one of these Norwegian M1914, and this one was used by the Kriegsmarine, so is one of that small lot, only 700 pieces, sent to Maza.

Can any one confirm me this point, is the serial number OK with it.

If it has no problem for you, what would be a fair value for it.

Any hel would be very wellcome, thanks in advance .

Pistol with serial # 23692 was delivered 1. September 1941 to Maza Oslo (Admiral Norwegen) in a lot of 50, out of totally 700 delivered to Maza during the occupation.

There is of my knowledge no proof that they actually was used in the Kriegsmarine.

I have read in other place that in the "Big Book of Kongsberg Colt" it is mentioned that soldiers at coastal forts and guards at different places usually got the guns (not given to fighting units), so if this lot was sent to the Maza Oslo (Admiral Norwegen), and they were used by coastal artillery units, many of these pices were distributed in Kriegsmarine KA units.

Yes, it's said that they where used for personnel like you say, but how many, if any, is not proven of my knowledge

In Norway they are round 4000 NOK, approx 470 € / 695 USD by todays rates. I would guess higher in other countries, as they are more rare.

I have asked 1100 euros for this one, and the seller has told me that the international market value for this model, not from the small lot sent to Maza/kriegsmarine? that is rarer, was 2000-2500, that is so far from what you say me.

I really don't know what to do, I can belive that this one came from a small lot that probably went to naval personel hands, Kustenartillerie units, so would be a nice addition to my colelction, but if the price is too much higher than the market value

In Finland they ask 1000-1300euros from these pistols!
So marked value could be right?!

Some years ago I try to buy one of these guns, in working condition, in price 800eur but seller didn't want to sell in that price

I have not experienced any difference in the price for the Meza vs the other deliverances here in Norway.
