I have a sauer and sohn 38h, has all the waffenampts, eagle over 37, eagle over n,
it is done in nickel, it is the late 4th model, sn#503992, I know these were blued, were some of these nickled by officers etc.? or a GI bringback? then nickled?

Pimped out gun. Most likely done by the GI post war. It was the "cool" thing to do then.

Thanks matt, Thinking about getting it reblued, so, the eagle over 37, does that mean that it was an issued weapon?

If it has the "eagle/37" proof mark, then it was a military accepted pistol.

I think it would be wiser to look for another Sauer 38h. They aren't difficult to find.
