brno vz24 sniper rifle,

I have a 1936 brno mauser with a zeiss scope mounted on it, high turret mount,
scope is marked Germany on the left side. did the german army ever utilize these rifles? nr or ni 35715 is the scopes serial number.

Germans did not use VZ24`s to build HT Sniper Rifles . To add You said You Zeiss is marked Germany , I know other Scopes that have Germany written on them is an indicator of Post War manufacture and exported for commercial use . Most likely Post War put together . Best Regards

If the scope has 'Germany' on it then that usually means commercial production, as stated, but it could be pre war production.

These are four photos of my unmolested vz24 sniper rifle, that I picked up at a local gun show for a very reasonable price a couple of years ago. Here in the States scope mounts are hard to find.(would be very interested in purchasing one, if any one has one for sale) Some one set up this scope on my vz24 (have since replaced the variable power scope with a vintage steel tube fixed 2.5 power, single post reticle scope). It is a very accurate rifle, even with surplus Yugo 1949 8mm ammo, & really groups with M75 S196 Grain Copper FMJ-BT Yugo Surplus. Also some photos of a vz24 in use in along with what appears to be a SMG in the snow. The last 4 photos are of my all matching (except for the WW2 German bolt, that has the same last 2 numbers 54)vz24, an E serial number prefix rifle not the usual R letter (Romanion?). The stock is numbered to the rifle & has the proper turned down bolt scallop. Does anyone know who used the E letter rifles? Have been told Estonia, but that seems too easy of an answer.
