    WOW!!!

That's what I call an instant gun collection!
Sadly, they will probably be destroyed. It would be nice to go through and look at those weapons, I wonder if any East German SKS's were in that lot. . . . oh well. . . .

Are you sure that this MG was an MG42?
Maybe it was an MG3 from the German Bundeswehr?

                    Mg42

Actually, this is yugoslav postwar copy of MG42, called M53, it works with german 7,9 mm ammo, it was widely use in yugoslav army as the main machine gun until M84 (a copy of soviet PK) was introduced in late 80'2, and even after that. When I served in yugoslav army, we had thes Mg's nad they were pain in the **s, as they were breaking down constantly. A techincal officer explained me (and it was kinda secret :-) that none of yugoslav factory could produce steel of such a quality as german, so there were made some modifications to grman design, and this lead to constant problems. It was also heavy and cumbrsome to carry, I still remember it from 12 km march

Among the other guns (many soviet ww2 made), there are mostly yugoslav Kalasnikovs, called M70 (with wooden butt) or M70A (with folding butt). There are also many yugoslav semi-automatic rifles M59/66, copies of soviet SKS (the ones with backward-down folding bayonet).

And the mortars are probably 82 mm, as used in yugoslavia.
