I so want to have a DNA test carried out in both the skull and the teeth
I do not trust the Russians The DNA test excludes all doubt

The reconstruction of the two by acts was based upon the immediate view of the scene by those waiting outside the room. From the position of the bodies and the comments by Hitler before his act, it was presumed by those viewing the scene that Braun consumed her poison seated next to her husband. Then Hitler used his poison and pistol. If Braun did not have the courage to use her pistol in conjunction with her poison, it would be surprising if she shot Hitler. Moreover there was no blood on Braun that would have occurred from her shooting him. And witnesses entered the room immediately after the pistol shot which would have made it very difficult for Eva to shot him the seat herself and consume her poison before the others entered the chamber.
By relying on witness statements you are choosing to do something that many investigators and investigative agencies chose not to do. Apparently they had their reasons. I am not agreeing or disagreeing with them or where investigations have since led them. From my perspective there seems to be insufficient evidence to support any conclusions.

From what I have seen on a documentary, the skull that Russians claim is Hitler and the swatch of cloth with blood from the couch, were both from a woman
US and Russian soldiers who examined the burned body of Hitler state that the body was not Hitlers, because of the ears. They both claimed they found a lot of pictures of Hitler all over to verify the remains. Hitler was also know to have a few body doubles all around, due to his many assisination attempts, paranoia from Parkinson's and drug abuse..
        My two cents

Regarding the photo in post 27. That is not the base of the skull, the big hole visible is apparently a shrapnel wound, not the foramen magnum. As for this small hole, it is being viewed from the exit side. The slightly irregular shape and seemingly very small size would make my first guess be that it is a fragment wound. Impossible to be sure without bettef photos.

With a lack of verifiable forensic evidence, eye-witness testimony is what is left. HP Taylor had access to those witnesses and used their testimony for his book. He was empowered by his British superiors to conclude the investigation. Our US political leadership apparently did not think it worth while. Perhaps they were more concerned with handing over Eastern Europe to Stalin than verifying AH's death.

Investigations and investigators could have many reasons, including the sale of books perpetuating their positions. I am not aware of any such reasons for Taylor's work.

But weren't Blaschke's dental records of AH used to verify the dental work in the body said to be Hitler's? I realize this thread is veering far off course.
