Some device and bag for collecting mg shells?

Hello gents, could somebody help me out with this piece? it's a device for collecting shoot mg shell, but for gun does this belong?
I've never seen such before!

No idea at all? what do you think does belong to an AA gun or rather to some vehicle?

Looks like it would hold a MG42 (or any of the post-war variants/copies). The semi-circle cutouts at the rear would interface with the lugs found behind the trigger of the MG42 (or MG34), i.e. the lugs that hold the receiver portion of either gun in the Lafette mount. The front portion of the mount looks to have small projections that would interface with the camming block on the MG42. Also, it looks like the contours of the cradle would fit a MG42 "box" type receiver much better than the contours of a MG34 receiver.

Just an idea to consider/discuss.
