    Hi
What you guys think of these WaA stamps on rear of 42 boldhead carrier?
    Original or faked?

I personally don't get a good feeling about these Rob, but could be wrong. However, if the seller is who I think it is, then it would not be the first fake (stamped) parts they've sold...

      Hello pat.
Think i already had a gut feeling about it not looking as it should , stamp doesn't look crisp enough.
It is a ebay seller in eu
      Cheers pat.

They look OK to me. MGs small parts tend to have those strange looking stamps because they are not really stamps but pantograph marked. Have a look at this following thread about small parts WaA:

PS, The pantographed eagle has an 11 and the other on the stud has a 4, both are OK for for the Rheinmetall-Borsig made parts, as they had several inspectors.

          Hi carles.
          Interesting.
I might put a cheeky bid in see what happens.

The more I look at it Rob, the more I think it could be ok. I do like the WaA4... it's just the WaA11 that looks sloppily done, BUT that said I've never paid attention to just how 'accurate' the small WaA's are on the bolt parts and other internals etc...

            Worth a shot IMO

With those stamps isn't it a bit odd that yes they are both 42 manufacturers but the waa4 is Gustloff and waa11 is Maget/Rheinmetall on the same small part.
We have all over the years seen mixed stamps for a variety of good reasons, but it is not that common.

I recall seeing MG34 a barrel shroud stamped bnz on a cra produced gun.

I think it is good as well. I found several with 2 different wa stamps on the carrier. Here is another Maget carrier with a sloppy WaA11 with yet different stamp than yours.

                        Hi,
                        the carrier is 100% OK!
There are only parts mixed of two providers, but the Stamp and the engraving are good for shure.
                        Regards,
                        Haubi
