Well looks like it is made by MAGET in 1943, and has seen postwar service with the Austrian army rather than yugo, but there are others here who will know a lot more than I

                    Hello.

This MG42 was produced in December 1943 by Maget. Its was used at postwar by at the Austrian Army (Österreichisches Bundesheer).
The barrel,Feed tray and buttstock are postwar parts from the austrian army.
The gripstick is an original and marked with "Adler 147" for Großfuß.
the bolt head is marked with "dfb" and from Gustloff.
The bipod is an original early one.it was modified by the Waffenmeister.

For more Informations i need more pics from all parts.

i know this 42 from the past.it was sold in March 2013 for 1309,00 Euro at Egun.

                    Many Greetings NORDLAND

Originaly the bipod legs would have been the same as those on the Mg34.
The waffenmeister has cut off and removed the small brackets and spring clips for attachment to the lower receiver via a stud and welded on the small hooks.
Also may be the bipod head has been changed?
I think originally it might have been adjustable, mine is.

                        Jonathan.
