Unique 17 Holster

Hello everyone

Sure hope someone can answer this question.

In using "Military Holsters of WW II" by Bender, on page 42 is a picture of a holster for the Unique 17 pistol. I finally found one from a dealer with all the proper markings as listed in the book and same style holster. The one problem is some idiot dyed the front black. The rear is still brown leather. I NEVER see this style holster on any of the auctions and was wondering why. Surely there are some out there someplace.

Would anyone know of a good dealer who may have a proper holster for this
pistol ?

Don, it is a very hard holster to find in great condition the only ones that I have are with pistols Unique 17, Kreigs Model and they were used to some extent with the MAB Mod.'D' BILL

I know where there is a proper one of these holsters for sale right now for very cheap. However, it is in very poor condition. Like Bill said, these are hard to find in good shape.

Just how poor is the condition and of course the price. I have seen some of your posts and know you go for Mint items. I like to see a little useage in my stuff so what you call poor may be OK for me. You can email me at donhulme@msn.com if you want.
I noticed another member of the forum may be rubbing things in when he posted pictures of his Unique 17 holster, but it did look nice, both pistol and holster. Mine is nice, condition wise, except for that black dye.
