      Wondrous!

Gee, Bill, where do you find this stuff. What a beautiful rifle. When I finally pony up, I want a Walther.

What is the small spot about 2/3 the way up the buttplate on both sides?

More would be great. Thanks, Bill.

This is the spot I mean, on the metal side of the buttplate.

          And the other side...

Superb ammo pouch (and rifle of course!) Bill.

Out of interest, the K98 pouch looks like a very late one too, any date on it?

            Great postings as usual,

            Patrick.

I thought it looked like a spotweld, and I thought of the trapdoor, but I just haven't had the opportunity to handle many G or K43's. Live and learn.

                Thanks!

Jeff, This is the drift pin that holds the butt plate trap door in place... BILL
