Luger Artillery holster , for review

    Hi Guy's

What can you tell me about this holster and stock ??
    Is it original ??
    thanks in advance

The holster is a Pakistani reproduction. The stock appears to be original. Is there an acceptance stamp just beneath the upper leather strap?

Hi GWA, thanks for your reply.... I have had two others message me and say that the holster looks to be post WW1 between 1920 and the 1930's ... what are the indicators that make you say Pakistani reproduction ? I know nothing about this type of thing really but really would like to learn. The holster I do not yet own (was hoping to but not if it is reproduction).
I already own the stock and will take a look at it tonight when I get home to see if there are any stamps under the leather that I missed.
      many thanks
      Tim

Quality of the leather, attachments on the back and stitching are all indicative of Pakistani production. It was made in the 1970's or later.

Does he know it's a Pakistani copy?
There are some quality repros out there that can be had for around $100
Or try and find an original $400-800

No he believes it to be an original item and with where it came from I tend to believe him however I have zero experience in this area (commonwealth items being my thing normally). Are there any examples of known Pakistani fakes so I can take a look at them ?

                            Perhaps a goggle search?
But believe us it's a copy
The leather is the wrong type the stitching is not something that would have left a German factory and the belt loops are wrong
And I wasn't really joking about the smell
Ww1 German leather was oak tanned God knows what the pakistani's used but it has a very distinct smell

Gotcha, will have a hunt around on google and see what I can find.
Its not a matter of not believeing you its a matter of my educating myself so I can identify with accuracy for myself and not have to rely on the knowledge of others all the time thanks for your help
