G33/40 barrel and stock... presumably. Hollowed out bolt handle. Lightening cuts in the receiver. Serial number in the barrel channel in the walnut stock does not match the receiver and barrel. Stamped "43" on the sear with two proofs with crowns over something also on the sear. Safety stamped "29." Indecipherable markings, one might be a circle around an "x", not a "z", at the base of the bolt handle. Wa63's on the barrel. That's it for markings except for the enigmatic "KURZ" on the barrel. Parkerized finish (?), nice bore, chambers and shoots 7.92x33 just fine (cannot stack more than two rounds in the magazine) within ice primer dents. Receiver length about 8 3/4" and barrel 19"+.
Not in 10mmx33 as one picture might indicate, but rather counterbored at muzzle about on inch into the barrel. Lack of hand guard and barrel bands indicate that is probably a super scarce late war experimental Kriegsmodell (har har) but provision for cleaning rod means it is possibly a labor of love for a skilled gunsmith.
