K43 scope issues

Hey. Is this a copy? Looks nothing like the orignals I have seen. The finish this late in the war was more rough and the K43 stamp is in a strange place. Its usually top left where the ZF 4 stamp is. "It was announced on Dec. 15, 1944 that the designation changed from Gw ZF4 to ZF K43 - so the ZF4 suffered also of "the German name games"."

Is it me or letters and digits look like engraved or micro milled, not stamped?
