Pak ammunition box

Hello guys,

I'm interested in this nice, good looking pak 3,7 cm ammunition box, but first I would like to hear some opinions here.

Can someone tell me if this ammunition box has his original paint or could it be post war (re)painted?
Or could the box be oiled?
