Hello All,
I have a VOPO P.08, 41 over 42, that came with one DDR grip panel (left side), and an original Bakelite grip on the right side (that passed the hot pin test). The grip panels have since been replaced by a set of black reproduction grip panels that I recently received from Tom Heller (Luger Doc).
This pistol also comes with a DDR marked magazine with a matching number. The pistol itself is all matching except the hold-open (which is unmarked) and has an import mark on the bottom of the barrel. The bore has pin prick pitting throughout its length but the lands & grooves are quite strong. It is an accurate shooter.
The bottom of the barrel has what looks like a 'cross' which some would say are crossed rifles as found on Russian captured firearms. However, this 'cross' consists of four separate strike marks that appear as one separately striked 'cross'.
I have been informed that the unusual proof mark in the left side of the trigger guard is actually a mark added by a post-war firm dealing in firearms. The firm is still active (Frankonia Waffen Wurzburg FWW) and is located in Munich, Germany.
Price, including shipping via insured Registered Priority Mail, is $950.00 from my 03 license to your 03 or 01 license. Payment can be made either by cashiers check or by postal money order. Personal checks are fine but must 'clear' first before shipment (could take up to ten days).
Five day non-firing inspection applies. I personally have test fired this pistol using Winchester White Box 124gr FMJ and Winchester Ranger HP ammo with no problems with feed or extraction.
Thank you for your time and interest. Please contact me directly at azsil2@mindspring.com should you be interested or have questions.
All local, state, federal, etc, laws apply.
