    Can any one tell me what I have?

    Hi, I am new to this place;
    I Have some things that my grandfather left me.
    the first one I think is a gun cleaning pack. it looks like a can of tobacco.
    and has a couple of brushes in it, a chain. a bottle made of steel with a spout.
    and a little "rake" or what looks like a small handle with a spoon that has the center cut out.
    the bottom or top. has a mop strings in it. and the can and bottle are marked MUNDLOS 1939.
    the things my grandfather has left me are mostly German in origin.
    but this thing I am not sure exactly what it is for and if it is German or not. since it is dated at the beginning of the war I assume it is.
    thank you for any information anyone can give

    Rifle cleaning kit

    Hi;
    From the description you gave-sounds like a German rifle cleaning kit,carried in the "bread bag" of just about every German Soldat...

      I agree, a Reiningungsgerät Model 1934 or Rg34 made by Mundlos A-G in 1939. The standard item of cleaning equipment for German small arms in WWII. When issued included: oiler, pull through chain, spoon type tool, bore brush, chamber brush, and a small bundle of cleaning threads.
