Matching zf41 with case Opinions

Got this recently and wanted to get opinions. First does it look original? I would be shocked if it wasn't. Second, the optics are poor. Where can I send for repair and how much am I looking at for repair? Im stocked that everything matches.

I think, with the sn engraved on the mounts, that this was once on an 'ar' rifle.

My thoughts were that also when I saw sellers pics, but in hand it looks to be neatly done in German handwriting
