1916 luger

Hello,
I have no experience with german firearms and need some information for a friend.

He said it is a 1916 kriegsmarine luger. All the parts, including the magazine, have a 4 digit number or a matching 2 digit number. It has a "crest" stamped on top of the barrel. Good condition with holster.

I know it is hard to be certain without pics, but is there anybody that knows what his is describing? It'll be a big help if someone can name a ballpark figure for this peice.

What makes your friend think it is a Kriegsmarine issue Luger.
Can you give a description of the 'crest' .
What lenth barrel does it have..............
