As usual, nice piece! Since I know absolutely nothing about these, forgive my ignorance but is it a bolt action or semi-auto? When do these rifles date from? I used to see these advertised in Shotgun News but never really gave them much thought.

Hello Gene, The Swiss M11 Carbine was manufactured between 1914 and 1933 by the firm Eidgenoessische, Waffenfabrik Bern approximately 184,000 were produced.. I have seen the M11 Rifle and the Swiss M31 carbine for sale in SGN but I cannot recal seeing a ad for M11 carbines except for a small lot that came in the country 1960-1961 time period, and advertised in the Amercain Rifleman.. There may have been some imported in since then. I don't know,????? Hope this helps some BILL

Thanks Bill. So by being a "straight pull" it's a single shot I take it?

Gene, It is a 6 shot repieter..And loaded by metal reinforced cardboard charging clips, holding 6 rounds each... The bayonet is the Swiss Model 1911 'PIONEER'.. and will only fit this carbine...BILL
