Grandpa's K98 after...

Here are the after shots of Grandpa's K98. This rifle was brought back by a late relative. Over the holidays I was able to interrogate several family members for info on this rifle. It was semi-sporterized before I got it. Fortunately there was no permanent damage. I've replaced a few small parts and cleaned the wood up. The before shots are probably still on the "Grandpa's K98" thread,

The sights and stocks do not match. The handguard is laminated. Hey, it's original to me. This is how it got off the boat!

The banner in the background was borrowed from a friend. It was brought back by one of his relatives.

Known discrepancies:

Yes, the sling is a cheesy reproduction. It'll work until I find an original and serve as a stunt-double for trips to the range.

The bolt takedown disk is not correct. They're 25mm disks in a 30mm hole. The correct disks are as hard to find as chicken teeth.
