    Luger Polizei holster (1935)

I bought this P.08 Luger holster recently and I’m hoping some of you might shed some light on it. It’s my understanding that it’s a police due to its different strap compared to the usual type with a small buckle. The backside of the holster is stamped ”Robert Larsen, Berlin, 1935”. The number “8613” is also stamped on the back and there’s another number inscribed inside “53”. It came with a luger key marked WaA63.

You have a very nice holster issued to the Prussian Schutzpolizei in 1935 as indicated by the starburst stamp beneath the data. I can't tell if the Prussian acceptance office was indicated by either a K or an L within that stamp. The 1935 date might indicate a reissue to replace a disabled holster issued in the 1920s or pehaps new issue to the increasing formations of the Prussian Landespolizei created 1933-1935 that were transfered into the Heer and LW.

Also to note "8613" is probably the pistols serial number it was issued with.

I have a 1934 marked the same way "5494" with matching tool. Starburst L.

      Nice find.
