    Yeah but the trouble with that is that Latin/South America pretty much standardised on the American M1 helmet during that period. In that time there was no Communist backed regimes in the region. How would they end up in Czech helmets?

    I still say pre 1950 Czech. They had these helmets, the uniforms are right and they had MP-44's.

        I wouldn't rule out the guard force used by the US Army in europe for security on Kasernes. These guys were displaced persons, many from Poland. I recall seeing them during the 70s', I don't recalled them being armed but they may have been at one time.

          I would make a bet that they are Egyptian. Reason I say that is that firstly they sort of look it but also when I bought my MP44 from Ryton Arms they told me their shipment came from Egyptian stocks.
          Also, their helmets have that straight edge 'bowl cut', again not indicative of a particular army but Egypt certainly had that style.

            My (quite accurate ) bet would be:

            Argentina CAM 1 - clone of the MP44 (see Claus Epseholdt website) and the gents are Argentinians from the early 50's

            See CAM 1

            If there were only 3 made, I am not sure. Maybe a dozen or so

            Argentina Army 1950's

            The guys in the picture posted ith the guns might be a kind of elite troops

              The uniforms are completely different, though.

                @Tom,

                If you compare just the uniforms I agree however, looking at the faces etc I would say Argentina Army. Maybe the guys with the guns are some kind elite as stated earlier.
