This is one from my collection. It looks like a standard P38 holster, but upon closer inspection, I now believe this is actually a P39(t) holster. The spare mag pouch on the holster has an extra leather strip sewn in, and does not fit a P38 magazine. I have previously had a P39(t) holster with this same attribute. However, that holster was not embossed "P38" on the back, but instead had a ink stamped "P39(t)" mark on the inside flap of the holster... has anyone had one like this?

The leather insert seen on P.39(t) holsters is different i think.
I can't really see on the photo but is the leather insert a seperate piece of leather or part of the holster?
First up is my other P38 holster.Attached Files

Can you take pics of the inside of the flap and inside of the holster body, so we can see the wear markings. This will tell us if it held a P38 or not?
Matt
I took some pictures and looked at the holsters closely. I'm now fairly certain this is for a P39(t) pistol (or some other pistol??). When I took out my P38, I realized it doesn't even fit inside the holster! Because of the location of where the inside leather strap is sewn, compared to my P38 holster. See the pictures, I think you will agree.
Cheers,
