    Luger P08 Stock

Hey guys. This came into the collection recently and I was wondering what type of stock this is. It fits a P08 perfectly but I have never seen one like this before. Is it a ww1 or ww2 type? What branch etc?

Its very well made. Certainly not by an amateur. Its made out of oak and the metal fittings are factory made.

It looks like a variation of the Swedish Lahti stock. One was made like the Broomhandle, and the other more like the Luger board stock. Like the Luger board stock, the leather holster was attached to the board.

It certainly looks a bit like the Lathi stock, but made for the luger... this was quite a pickle. Most likely privately made or by a gunsmith?'

Here is the Lathi Stock. Creds on picture.

I believe a Luger stock will fit a Lahti, so it is possible that a Lahti stock would also fit a Luger. I don't believe that is a Luger stock. As well as I remember it is not shown in the Sturgess book.

                  Thanks Johnny.

Apparently its either for a Lathi or Husqverna. Probably the latter. Very little is written about these stocks, and aparently they are pretty scarce.
