    Walther PP question

    Hello everyone,
I have been offered this Walther PP. The seller claims the gun's serial number brings it to 1938 and that the holster with the gun is DRP (Deustche Reichpost). The serial number is 449635P. It also has a crown n proof mark on the barrel and slide. I don't have pictures of the holster, but all it has is an eagle with a swastica stamp on the back. I am wondering if what the seller says is true because I am seeing many wartime Walther PP on gunbroker with 100k-300k serial number, but none in the 400k range...Also sorry for the bad picture quality, but unfortunately this is all I have at the moment.
    Cheers!

"449635P" Looks to be actually 49635P, making it 1938 manufacture. The pic really isn't good enough to display the details accurately.

I would like to see another photo to confim that it is in original finish. That photo makes it look very dark, like it has been reblued.

I see that too, if the price is right then that becomes less of an issue though. I would not kick a 300 dollar reblued PP out of bed.

It was photographed on a white background using the on camera flash. The camera did a remarkable job of exposing the white background correctly.

Finish is probably original, but just so underexposed as to appear black.
