British SOE issued Handgun

What was the issued handgun of the British SOE (early-late)?
Was it the Hi Power and if so, was it the Canadian Inglis or Belgian made Hi Power? Thanks, Ron

What is the answer you found? Colt/SW Victory models in .38 SW?

Well, I thought I had! I had asked on the Colt forum and as I should have expected, quite a few differing opinions. They say Colt 1911A1's, High Power and etc.
I think it really boils downs that there really isn't or wasn't an standard issue handgun for them.

I know that some SOE and SAS members in Italy were armed with Ballester Molina and UD M42.
There is also note of almost one BSA Wedlrod.

I remember seeing a photo of SOE in training. He had a 6 in. Colt DA revolver in .45. I would think they used a wide range of weapons.
