Sauer 38h 3rd Wehrmachts-Variation

I'm looking to buy a new german 7.65 pistol and this one came up. A second slide for target shooting has been made but the original slide also comes with the gun. It's all matching numbers. After looking through the tague webside I’ve concluded with the pistol being a 3rd Wehrmachts-Variation. The serial number is 447102. But the odd thing is the location of the said serial number on the left side of the slide that doesn’t look that original. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hard to tell what the markings say. A closeup wouldn't hurt. Maybe they were added to satisfy some legal requirement in your country?

I love that target slide. Never imagined a 38H as a target pistol, but I guess it's a matter of using what you have.

SS sig rune on a Sauer 38h

I've been offered another Sauer 38h pistol but at a considerable higher price. On left side of the frame there is a single SS rune which is similar as the ones I've seen on K98's. I've never seen this on a Sauer 38h before and therefore I'm inclined to belive it's been added later on. The grips are what seem to be ivory.

The grips look like wood to me. In any event they are post war - as is the alleged "SS" rune.
