            With all due respect I think you have it backwards.
            A reproduction is a copy of an existing item.
            A fake is a unique piece that doesn't copy anything else.


            I agree that this loading tool is apparently a poor fake.

              If it doesn't look like any known tool, how can it be a fake, or deceptive?

              Fake Lugers are those made to deceive, but Luger reproductions have been made since the 1970's, with no intent to deceive.

                The things missing are an RZM mark and SS runes. I'd say that the byf 41 was placed into this when made to deceive the very un-informed "collector" with the Banner added just to cover all bases with the same.

                Reproduction or fake, I don't know, but I agree that it is not a copy of any original tool variant or even close except it bears the general shape and design.

                My point is that these tools are faked MUCH better than this and have been for many decades now.
